I had planned to go backpacking this weekend, but delayed that, since Amy came home for a few nights so she could go to an agility meet in Castle Rock. Her border collie Drift and sheltie Reiny did very well, and I took movies of Amy's runs with them.Amy has a gift with animals and they all love her deeply. I noticed that both Drift and Reiny watched carefully wherever Amy went, and would only relax if she was within sight.
Me and Ben, Maggie, and Mollie went up to the mountains today, to scout out the snow level for an extended backpack trip next weekend. The weather has been unsettled, with hail and tornado warnings every day. Maybe it will be calmer in a few days.
We hiked in sun, sleet, rain, and snow today.
I have the best mountain dogs in the entire Rocky Mountains.
