5 June ~2009
We have about an hour to kill after Mollie's Tuesday obedience class, before I head over to the Tuesday night Lindy Dance. (Mollie sleeps in the cab of my pickup next to the Mercury while I go to the dance). In that hour I browse at the Tattered Cover for a while, then me and Mollie sit in front of the store, on Colfax, while I finish my coffee. My pup doesnt miss anything, watching people coming from way down the street, ready with a tail wag when they walk by. Ladies smile at her and me as they pass, which adds something positive to my evening. (a smile from a good woman)
What I love about border collies is how so attentive they are about everything, which is really all about learning about this world, and living their life to the fullest. While we were sitting there Mollie looked up twice at the neon sign that hung over the sidewalk, which I never would have noticed. A few days ago in the truck she looked up while we were stopped at a light, at a tiny airplane high in the sky.
